Share the TikkunTree Project with friends and colleagues, extend the knittivist (or craftivist) peace network, let others know of your interest in peace.
Here are pdf copies of TikkunTree Project flyers and “business” cards which can be downloaded and printed easily. They include a color image of the “Olive Tree of Jerusalem” mural by Armenian tile artist Neshan Balian (many thanks Balian! link here), but each document will print either in color or black and white (your choice).
You can post or distribute these flyers (full- or half-page) in your synagogues, churches, local yarn shops, cafes and coffee shops, grocery stores, libraries, book stores, or anywhere else you think appropriate.

Follow these easy steps to create your own TikkunTree Project “business” cards. These cards are a very convenient way to tell others how to get involved.
First, open this Adobe pdf document TikkunTree card front
This
is the FRONT side of the business card. The front side has the project name, contact info, and website address.
Then, open this Adobe pdf document TikkunTree card back
This is the BACK side of the business card. The back side has a short description of the project’s purpose and participants.
Print the TikkunTree card front document on a heavy weight paper or card stock. , then return the page to the printer in order to print the back side, taking care with the orientation of the words to make sure the front and back are in the same direction.
Next, carefully cut out the cards along the lines, and voila! 10 convenient business cards with just enough information to inspire more volunteers to check out the website and participate!
Feel free to write your own personal contact information on the card.

I am a political knitter and am studying to be a kohenet, a Jewish priestess. As part of that process I am hoping to bring my spiritual practice of knitting to others. I am also a member of Mishkan Shalom, in Northwest Philadelphia where we have a knitting havurah. I’d love for our group to connect with you and help with the Tikkun Tree project. Our congregation was founded as a place for politically progressive Jews particularly on the issue of Israel/Palestine. This short post can not adequately convey my excitement about this project and everything you do! Hoping to connect in person.

hello out there…
i hope my e-mail finds you well and happy. i’m wondering how your tikkun tree is coming along and if the project is still in the works. i love this project and wanted to feature it as my pick of the month on my blog. i want to make sure that a.) the project is still in the works, b.) that if so, it’s okay to feature, and c.) ask how you’d like others to support the project (are you still accepting leaves, doves, candles, etc.).
when you get a chance, please let me know.
many thanks.
b’shalom,
julie
